SCANDINAVIA & ESTONIA 2025: CAPITALS AND FJORDS TOUR FROM CLUJ

Ziua 1 (12.08.2025) Cluj-Napoca – Stockholm

La ora 03:00 dimineata intalnire in Aeroportul International Avram Iancu Cluj-Napoca cu reprezentantul agentiei Cocktail Holidays pentru formalitatile de check-in. Imbarcarea pe zborul LH 1673 al companiei Lufthansa, cu destinatia Stockholm (via Munchen). Decolarea din Cluj-Napoca este programata la ora 06:00 dimineata, cu sosirea in Stockholm la ora 11:05. Insotitorul de grup va astepta turistii la sosire in Stockholm. Dupa sosire, vom prelua bagajele si vom avea transfer catre centrul orasului unde ne vom intalni cu ghidul local si vom pleca intr-un tur de oras (3 ore) cu autocarul.

Stockholm este cunoscut in general ca Venetia Nordului deoarece orasul este construit pe 14 insule. Este inconjurat de Lacul Malaren si de Marea Baltica. Cladirile publice grandioase ale orasului, palate, bogata istorie culturala si muzee spun frumos povestea sa de 700 de ani. 

In timpul turului, vom vizita Gamla Stan (Orasul Vechi), unde vom fi fermecati de strazile pavate, cladirile vechi dar frumos conservate, Palatul Regal, bisericile gotice si excelentele cafenele, baruri, restaurante si magazine cu design tipic suedez. De asemenea, vom vizita si Muzeul Vasa, un muzeu maritim care expune o nava a faimosului rege Vasa, care s-a scufundat dupa doar 1300 m.  

Optional, seara putem participa la Evening Wildlife Safari cu cina traditionala suedeza.

Day 2 (13.08.2025) Stockholm – Copenhagen

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for a fascinating journey to Copenhagen with a stop in Linköping for an orientation tour with our tour leader. This old medieval city served as an administrative center, and parts of its medieval street network are still preserved. Highlights include Linköping Cathedral and the central square, Stora Torget, which has become a meeting place for locals.

Upon arrival in Copenhagen, we’ll take a short rest break and visit Tivoli Gardens, where we can enjoy various attractions or simply soak in the cozy atmosphere of this historic garden.

Day 3 (14.08.2025) Copenhagen – Oslo

Breakfast at the hotel, followed by a magical 3-hour guided city tour of Copenhagen. We’ll see famous sites such as the Little Mermaid and the Royal Palace of Amalienborg, the official residence of the Danish royal family, consisting of four identical palaces. We will stroll along Nyhavn, originally a bustling commercial port and now a popular tourist area. House No. 20 was once home to the famous writer H.C. Andersen.

After exploring the city, we’ll embark on a unique overnight cruise to Oslo.

Day 4 (15.08.2025) Oslo

Breakfast on board. Meet with a local guide for a 2-hour city tour of Oslo, then transfer to the hotel. The tour includes visits to Frogner Park with Vigeland’s sculptures, the Viking Ship Museum, displaying three original Viking ships, the Royal Palace, Oslo City Hall, Akershus Fortress, and the Oslo Opera House. We’ll also visit the Norsk Folkemuseum open-air museum and the Fram Museum, exploring Viking and polar explorer history.

Day 5 (16.08.2025) Oslo – Gudvangen – Flam

Breakfast at the hotel, followed by a scenic journey to Gudvangen. We’ll admire Norway’s beautiful fjords on a cruise from Gudvangen to Flam. During the cruise, we’ll learn Viking stories from a local guide.

Day 6 (17.08.2025) Flam – Myrdal – Voss – Bergen

After breakfast, enjoy free time in Flam. Optional activities include a 1,381 m zipline or a panoramic train ride from Flam to Myrdal, where the famous Flamsbana train offers breathtaking views through mountainous landscapes, waterfalls, and tunnels. Transfer to Bergen in the afternoon.

Day 7 (18.08.2025) Bergen

Breakfast at the hotel. Bergen, known as the Gateway to the Norwegian Fjords and a UNESCO World Heritage City, is a lively cultural hub. We’ll take a 2-hour city tour to see Bryggen, St. Mary’s Church, Hakon’s Fortress, and the famous fish market. We’ll also ride the Floibanen funicular to the top of Mount Fløyen for panoramic views of the city.

Day 8 (19.08.2025) Bergen – Geilo – Drammen



Breakfast at the hotel. Today, we’ll head to Drammen with a lunch break in Geilo, where we’ll have the chance to explore the town with our group escort and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. Drammen is located in southeastern Norway, about 40 kilometers from Oslo, known for its beautiful landscapes along the banks of the Drammenselva River, a popular spot for recreational activities. Over the years, Drammen has undergone urban modernization, transforming into a vibrant city with modern architecture and numerous cultural and recreational facilities.

Optionally, we can join a guided beer tasting tour at Norway's oldest brewery, Aass Brewery, founded in 1834.

Day 9 (20.08.2025) Drammen – Karlstad

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, we continue our journey to Karlstad. This friendly city is situated along the banks of Sweden’s longest river, Klaralven, which flows into the country’s largest lake, Vanern. Apart from its natural beauty and Viking roots, Karlstad is known as a lively place with a cheerful spirit symbolized by its famous smiling sun emblem. Here, we’ll visit the Brigadmuseum, where the main exhibit focuses on the Cold War era (1945-1991). A guided tour (1 hour) will offer a deeper understanding of past events.

Day 10 (21.08.2025) Karlstad – Stockholm

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, we depart for Stockholm, with a visit to Drottningholm Palace along the way (guided tour, 1 hour). This UNESCO World Heritage site is the best-preserved royal castle from the 1600s in Sweden and a significant example of European architecture from that era.

Upon arrival in Stockholm, we’ll have free time to explore the city at our own pace.

Day 11 (22.08.2025) Stockholm – Tallinn

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, we’ll have free time to explore. Optionally, you can spend the day at Centralbadet Spa. In the afternoon, we’ll depart for Tallinn aboard an overnight cruise.

Ziua 12 (23.08.2025) Tallinn – Cluj-Napoca

Mic dejun la bord. Vom explora orasul istoric Tallinn impreuna cu ghidul local (3 ore) unde vom putea admira Castelul Toompea, o cladire impunatoare care se afla la capatul vestic al pietei Lossi plats. Din fortareata daneza construita in 1219 nu a ramas nimic, insa trei dintre cele patru turnuri ridicate in timpul reconstructiei de catre cavalerii Porte-Glaive, in 1227-1229, sunt inca prezente. Aspectul baroc al castelului dateaza in mare parte din secolul al XVIII-lea, cand a fost reconstruit la ordinul Ecaterinei a II-a. Catedrala ortodoxa Sf. Alexandr Nevski, care dateaza din secolul al XIX-lea, domina piata Lossi plats, in varful strazii Pikk Jalg (Piciorul Lung). Aceasta marturie impunatoare a imperialismului rus se armonizeaza foarte putin cu cladirile mult mai vechi din jur. De neratat este si o oprire la Castelul Kadriorg. Kadriorg inseamna "Valea Ecaterinei", numita dupa sotia lui Petru I. Astazi este un parc prestigios (proiectat intre 1718 si 1725 de Niccolo Michetti la cererea lui Petru cel Mare, ca dar pentru sotia sa, Ecaterina), plantat cu tei, stejari, mesteceni si castani.

Dupa amiaza vom avea transfer la aeroport, unde vom face check-in pentru imbarcare pe zborul de retur LH 2405, plecare din Tallinn la ora 19:00 si sosire in Cluj-Napoca la ora 00:45 (+1) (via Munchen).

Optional Excursions Conditions

The minimum group size for optional excursions is 30 people. The rates for optional excursions are calculated based on 30 participants; if there are fewer participants, the rates will be recalculated. Customers are not obliged to purchase the excursions from our agency’s partner (they are recommended as safe services). Complaints and their resolution should be addressed on-site!

Optional excursions are paid only in cash, to the Romanian group leader.

The tours included in the program will be defined with a maximum schedule.

Registration

Registration for this program can be made until 31.05.2025, subject to availability.

Conditions for Group Formation

GROUP: 30 PEOPLE. For a group smaller than 30 people, the rate will be recalculated or the excursion will be rescheduled. The rate recalculation will be as follows:

Group of 25-29 people: the rate increases by 140 euros/person.Group of 20-24 people: the rate increases by 280 euros/person.

In case of recalculation of the initial package price, the supplement will be invoiced when the group is finalized and is not a reason for cancellation without adhering to the contractual penalty conditions in case of cancellation.For fewer than 20 participants, the price will be recalculated or the excursion will be rescheduled. Also, for smaller groups, the agency reserves the right to change the airline or hotels, while maintaining the standards and informing the registered tourists in advance. Confirmed places beyond the maximum reserved group may be at a higher rate, depending on the availability of flights and accommodation, and are subject to different cancellation rules.Double Room Share: For registering a single person, we recommend booking a single room, but we can also offer a shared double room. This means two people of the same gender, traveling alone, are willing to share a room. In the case of opening a shared room, if a second person is not found by the time the group is finalized, the first person will have to pay for a single room supplement.

ATTENTION! Persons with disabilities must notify the degree of disability, along with all necessary details, at the time of registration and confirmation of booking. We do not assume responsibility for any special services that cannot be offered by third parties if they were not indicated in the reservation and the service contract.

Note: Airport taxes included in the package are those valid at the time the program is launched, specifically in October 2024. If these taxes are increased by the airline before the tickets are issued, the agency reserves the right to modify the excursion price according to the new tax values.

Useful Information

You must be at the airport 3 hours before the announced departure time for the meeting with the group leader/escort. The presentation of the flight ticket at boarding is mandatory! Permitted luggage for travel – 23 kg checked luggage and max. 8 kg hand luggage per passenger.City tours are mentioned in the program with a maximum duration.The program may change upon arrival at the destination depending on the transport schedules, which may change independently of the tour operator’s will. In case of program changes, they will be communicated to the group by the tour leader.

The accuracy of the travelers' names and personal data is the responsibility of the intermediary agency/agent who made the registration.Rooms are allocated by the reception, and accommodation on the first day and check-out on the last day will depend on the hotel’s hourly policy and current availability (generally check-in is after 14:00, and check-out is by 12:00).Room type should be requested at the time of registration. Attention! The double bed (matrimonial) in some hotels may be two single beds pushed together. The third bed can vary depending on the hotel: a single bed, folding bed, or sofa.Some hoteliers require guarantees and additional payments for using room facilities (e.g., minibar/fridge, safe, air conditioning), unless otherwise specified. We recommend that tourists inquire at the hotel reception about these extra costs upon check-in; some 4- and 5-star hotels require a cash or card guarantee, which will be refunded/unblocked at check-out. Guide/Group Leader Services

Cocktail Holidays provides a group leader during the tour, speaking Romanian and one international foreign language. The group leader will ensure that all services are provided according to the program presented at registration. If there are discrepancies from the purchased program, the group leader must make all efforts to resolve the issues on-site.The groups are also accompanied by a local guide, authorized by the local partner agency, without whom the included excursions or tours cannot take place.

Transportation Means

ATTENTION! Air tickets are non-refundable and cannot be changed after issuance.In the case of service packages that include air transport (regular flight or charter flight), the organizing travel agency is not responsible for any changes to the departure and arrival times. If the carrier is responsible for these delays, it will provide assistance to tourists in accordance with EC Regulation 261/2004 of the European Parliament.The first and last days of the stay are not considered tourist days, as they are transport days. Local transport during the program will be provided by coach and train.Departure and arrival times are indicative and can be changed by the carrier with prior notice. The organizing agency cannot be held accountable for these changes.Seating on the minibus/coach at the destination will be done by the group leader based on the registration order, starting from the second row. For passenger safety during the excursion, the first row of seats is reserved for the group leader and the local guide.

Insurance

This service package is insured in case of insolvency of the organizing travel agency through an insurance policy issued by Omniasig Vienna Insurance Group, series I56714, valid until 02.01.2025, with extension after expiration.

Stay Information

Detailed information about the stay will be provided to tourists before departure and will include the following points:

Cocktail Holidays representative details during the trip – name, phone number;Cocktail Holidays representative details at the Romania airport – name, phone number;Updated flight schedule.

Possible Price Changes

The prices agreed upon at the time of contract signing may increase or decrease depending on certain objective factors.Price increases are influenced by fluctuations in exchange rates, increases in oil prices, higher overflight fees, etc. If the price increase exceeds 8%, the customer may terminate the contract without incurring cancellation penalties.Price decreases may result from promotions offered by external partners or by the organizing agency. These discounts are limited to a specific period and a certain number of places. The promotion can be discontinued before the end of the validity period without the organizer being obligated to announce the exhaustion of available spots.At the same time, the organizing agency is not required to reduce the price according to the promotion for customers who have previously purchased the same package at a higher price.

General Information About Travel Documents

• Romanian citizens can travel to Nordic or Baltic countries with either an identity card or a valid passport.Attention! Romanian identity cards issued before 2009, which do not specify Romanian citizenship, are not recognized as travel documents in Norway (it is recommended to consult the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration's website - UDI, the section on Regulations for Immigrants to Norway, Amendment No. 4, called "Identification Documents Issued by EEA or EFTA Countries": www.udiregelverk.no/no/rettskilder/sentrale/utlendingsforskriften/vedlegg4/).• Ensure that you have valid identification documents for the entire family or group of friends! Diplomatic/Service Passports - tourists must obtain details about travel personally from the Embassy in Bucharest!Foreign Citizens – must inquire directly at the embassies in Bucharest for the specific procedures for each nationality.Minors traveling without parents must have a set of documents to cross the border:a. If the minor is traveling with one parent, that parent must present a notarized consent from the absent parent at the border;b. If the minor is traveling with one parent and the other parent is deceased, the death certificate must be presented at the border authorities;c. If the minor is traveling with one parent and they are divorced, a notarized consent from the other parent must be presented at the border. If the divorce is final, a court ruling for custody and a copy of the divorce decree must be presented.d.
